About Me

Hello!

I'm Olivia, a birth and postpartum doula, founder of Pride and Joy Births,

and mom to two wonderful daughters and my soulcat.

​

My journey into birth work began with my own births.

I had a water birth with my first daughter and a land birth with my second

(she came before I could dip my pinky toe in the water).

Even after two births, I realised just how huge the knowledge and support gap was.

​

The truth is, we don't know what we don't know, and sometimes the right knowledge and support can make all the difference.

​

I believe parents deserve evidence-based information, compassionate support, and the space to make decisions that feel right for them.

​

Birth is so much more than endurance. 

Birth is powerful and deeply personal, and there is also room for laughter, excitement, and wonder along the way.

It is a privilege to witness families grow, parents discover their strength, and babies make their entrance into the world.
